Please be sure to avoid the following.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, strenuous exercise and hot food for 1–2 days
A light shower is fine.

Do not bite your lip or cheek
The anaesthetic lasts for 2–3 hours.

Avoid alcohol and smoking for 2 weeks

Bite firmly on the gauze for as long as you were told
Follow the time your dental team gave you. Swallow any saliva or blood that collects.

Use an ice pack if swollen or sore
Apply it for the first day.

Eat soft food
Avoid spicy or irritating food.

Finish your medication
Take all of it, even if you are no longer in pain.
