The Reborn Dental Clinic

GENERAL CARE

Teeth Whitening

A procedure that brightens tooth colour without removing any tooth structure. Depending on the cause of discolouration and your original tooth colour, we recommend either in-office or at-home whitening.

Restoring your natural tooth colour, without damaging the tooth

Teeth whitening applies a bleaching agent to the enamel and dentine of a discoloured tooth to restore its original colour or brighten it further. Because only the colour changes and no tooth structure is removed, it is a non-invasive procedure.

When whitening helps

  • Surface staining from coffee, tea, red wine and similar drinks
  • Teeth that have naturally darkened with age
  • Ahead of an important occasion such as a wedding or interview

Whitening methods

In-office whitening

Performed in the clinic with a higher-concentration agent and a curing light, giving a visible result in a short session.

At-home whitening

A custom tray and a lower-concentration agent are used at home over a period of time; the result tends to last relatively longer.

Results vary from person to person depending on the original tooth colour and the cause of discolouration. Teeth that have had root canal treatment, or restorations such as crowns and veneers, may not respond to standard whitening in the same way. We recommend the right approach after an examination.

These are actual cases treated at our clinic. Results vary from person to person, and side effects may occur.
