Implant treatment completed in a single day, from surgery through to the final restoration

The same-day implant is exactly what it sounds like: treatment completed in one day, from surgery through to the final restoration.
Surgery and the impression are done in the morning, and the final restoration is fitted in the afternoon. Because the restoration takes time to make, surgery in the afternoon may not allow same-day completion. Occasionally the restoration needs adjusting, in which case one further visit the next day is required — but treatment still finishes in a remarkably short time.
Because the restoration has to be made quickly, this is only possible with an in-house laboratory rather than an outside one.
It would be good if this were possible in most cases, but in truth the cases suited to same-day completion are quite limited. Two or more implants must be splintable together, the procedure must be flapless, and the bone must be in very good condition.
So without a particular reason we do not force treatment into a single day. Where time simply does not allow — a patient flying abroad the next day, for instance — we will proceed if the conditions permit.
Chosen for the right case, it produces very good results — so if you are pressed for time, it is worth coming to The Reborn Dental Clinic to find out whether your situation is suited to it.
These are actual cases treated at our clinic. Results vary from person to person, and side effects may occur.
